Times are tough. Money is tight. Yet your newspaper, periodical, or website needs a constant stream of unique, identifiable material to keep your readers coming back. We're here to solve those needs as easily as dropping me an email.
About Me
I began editorial illustrations in 2006. I was inspired by two artists: Pulitzer-Prize winner Clay Bennett, whose innovative use of computer-aided design really strikes me; and Bert Monroy, who uses Photoshop to create photorealistic images that resemble photographs but are actually comprised of hundreds (and often thousands) of individually created pieces that combine to create the final image.
My work falls somewhere between the two. I refer to my work as editorial illustrations, not cartoons. My most intricate drawing was comprised of nearly 100 separate images.
I was very pleased and honored to be included in the new book The Best Editorial Cartoons of 2008. It allowed me to appear under the same cover as Clay Bennett, Nick Anderson, and many giants of the industry. That is truly an honor for someone new to the business like me.
UPDATE: I appear in the new edition of Best Editorial Cartoons of 2009. That is my second year in a row, and I am very excited and happy to have received this honor.
